Disney Trivia Answer Time

9 May

Welcome back trivia lovers!  Tonight you get your answers.  I hope you resisted temptation to Google the answers, as that is just not as fun as guessing, even if you have no clue.  So here it goes, the answers to yesterdays trivia questions are:

Easy:

What is the fastest ride in all of Walt Disney World, and a bonus point if you know the speed it travels?

Yes sir, if you answered Test Track, then give yourself a huge round of applause because you got it right.  Now do you know the speed that makes it the fastest ride in all of Disney World?  That would be 65 miles per hour.  You hit that speed after you make the banked turn outside and start to head down the straightaway.  It’s it funny that speed seems really fast while your on the ride, yet we normally travel that fast on our highways every day and don’t have nearly this much fun!

Next up…..

Medium:

What is the largest single attraction ever created by Disney?  And again, bonus points if you know the size of the attraction.

Kilimanjaro Safaris at Animal Kingdom is by far the largest attraction ever built by Disney.  Do you know just how large it is?  It spans over 100 acres!  Of course it is filled with many different species of animals, birds, and vegetation and is just a beautiful ride every time you go on it.  What makes it really special is the fact that it is truly a different ride every time.  We have had a giraffe within an arms length of our ride vehicle one time, and another time we had elephants bathing right beside us.  For photo buffs, this ride is an exciting journey as you like to see how many different pictures you can take from many different views.

And finally…

This attraction is 8 minutes and 30 seconds long and has 125 audio-animatronic figures in it.  What attraction am I referring to?

Did you guess it right?  I know many of you probably confused this one with Splash Mountain, right?  Pirates of the Caribbean was the very last attraction that Walt Disney actually helped work on before he passed away.  Unfortunately he never got to ride on it, but it sure has signs of his handy work all over it.  Did you know that originally Pirates was supposed to be a walk through ride instead of a boat ride?  The Haunted Mansion also was supposed to be a walk through ride as well.  Someone finally figured out that you could get so many more people through the attraction in an hour by boat than if they were walking, so both rides quickly became float through rides.  I love both rides and must ride each every time we visit the Magic Kingdom.

So how did you do?  Well don’t worry if you only got one or two right.  You’ll have many more chances to answer my trivia challenges as it seems it was a huge hit with you the readers.  So expect more great Disney trivia coming your way again!

As always, I appreciate the time you spend with me and I thank you for it.  If you enjoy the blog, why not tell others about it.  As they say, the more the Disneyer!!  I’ll see ya again real soon, and have a blessed day!
